‘Ireland’s foremost couturiere brings a unique creative talent to McCall’s Patterns. This pattern is a shapely short  evening gown with a beautiful dome shaped skirt. Miss Connolly conceived this in lace over satin with satin bows accenting the line of the skirt, but it could also be made in linen, peau de soie or satin. A full length version is included in the pattern.’

Misses’ Dress in Two Lengths, and Stole. Annotated at the bottom a bit of advice to the lucky wearer, ‘This dress should be worn with extra petticoats.’ Who doesn’t love extra petticoats!?
